Nicholas C. Walker is a 2022 graduate of Florida A&M University, where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He was initiated into the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in Spring 2022 as #12. Upon graduation, he commissioned as a Lieutenant Junior Grade Officer in the United States Coast Guard through the Coast Guard’s CSPI (College Student Pre-Commissioning Initiative) Program.
In his current role as an Apprentice Marine Inspector, Lieutenant Junior Grade Walker inspects a variety of foreign and domestic vessels, including cruise ships, container ships, tankers, and small passenger vessels. His inspections focus on ensuring that these vessels meet rigorous safety standards related to lifesaving, firefighting, and engineering.
In addition to his professional career, Walker remains active in his fraternity, serving as a member of the Gamma Zeta Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha. He is also a former Drum Major of the renowned Marching 100 at FAMU, where he led the band with distinction. His involvement in campus life was further enriched by his membership in Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc., which recognizes excellence in the performance and appreciation of music.
