Te-Andre Anthony Brown was born in St. Ann Parish, Jamaica on June 28, 1998 to Andrea Williams and Theo Brown. He migrated to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida from St. Ann Parish, Jamaica in April 2009. He graduated from Stranaham High School on June 15, 2016. Te-Andre was exceptionally bright and attended Florida A&M University. A senior at the time of his passing, Te-Andre was pursuing a degree in business administration and was an Army ROTC student. During his time at FAMU, Te-Andre also joined The National Society of Pershing Rifles, The Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and the Omega Xi chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, Inc. His favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

On Sunday, March 15, 2020, Brown and several of his friends went to Panama City, Florida to kick off what would be their last spring break before graduating. During a boat ride, Te-Andre was reported by several witnesses to have been seen caring for other passengers, ensuring that everyone had a fun, safe time. Their day seemed like a success, until the fun outing took a turn for the worse. A passenger jumped from the boat unexpectedly and found herself in rough waters. Te-Andre- quickly noticed that the young woman was in distress and he, along with three of his fraternity brothers, jumped in to rescue her. Te-Andre was the first to make contact with the young lady and passed her to his brothers so that they could get her safely back on the boat. Te-Andre took every action to ensure that all passengers returned safely to the boat before he did and was subsequently overcome by rough waters.

Te-Andre Brown is survived by his mother, Andrea Williams; his brother, Tre Brown; his sister, Andriana Williams; and host of friends and family in Jamaica, England, Maryland, New York, and Florida.
