(For current members of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha.)

1. Application Process and Details:

a. Winning applicant will receive a minimum of $1,000 for each academic year. The award is nonrenewable; and, current recipients cannot re-apply.

b. This scholarship award is only available to current members of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

c. All undergraduate degrees and majors are eligible for the award.

d. The scholarship can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, travel and selected cost of living. All scholarship recipients are required to “give back” by conducting community service and by serving as mentors to young aspiring Alpha men and students at FAMU.

e. Applicants must be a current financial member in good standing with the Beta Nu Chapter and in good financial standing with the University.

f. If selected as the scholarship recipient you hereby agree to the following:

1. Grant permission to use your picture and name in the 1932 Projects Foundation literature and on the 1932 Project Foundation website.

3. Attend the Man on The Go Luncheon, date to be determined, to receive the BKG Scholarship Award. Attend the Scholarship Reception and Banquet on date to be determined, to receive the BKG Scholarship Award. Information on both events will be provided in future correspondence.

g. The application is available online only. Students will need the following items to apply for the scholarship (Alpha members only):

1. Current resume

2. Unofficial transcript

3. Head shot photo

4. Two letters of recommendation.  Note: (Must be from two different Alpha Brothers)

a. One from a brother of Gamma Mu Lambda or a Beta Nu graduate brother. 

b. One from a current FAMU educator, faculty member or administrator.

5. One page typed essay about the Aims of Alpha Phi Alpha.

1.Complete the Brian Keith Greene Scholarship Student Application. Then consolidate the items from g 1-5 above into a single pdf and upload via the upload button on the form.

2. 2024 Timeline for current college students:

a. The application process is open August 28-October 10, 2024. Applications must be completed by 11:59pm on October 10, 2024.

b. Reminder emails are sent to the Presidents of Gamma Mu Lambda and Beta Nu Chapters on August 28th, 2024. Students who have started an application are reminded to complete their application by October 10, 2024.

c. Applications will be reviewed until October 21st, 2024.

d. Award recipient will be notified by the 1932 Projects Foundation Scholarship Committee by October 25th, 2024. Applications must be completed by 11:59pm on October 10, 2024.
