The Counsel of Colonels represents a group of Alpha Brothers from the Beta Nu Chapter Alpha Phi Alpha who matriculated through the Florida A&M University, Reserve Officer Training Corps or ROTC program. The Rattler Battalion, located in the historic Howard Hall building on highest of ''Seven Hills”, is where their leadership and management training began. Each of these select individuals achieved the rank of “Colonel” and the grade of 06. These outstanding leaders of soldiers who no doubt also learned key aspects of leadership and teamwork while pledging and doing good will once they crossed into the greatest fraternity known to mankind. While serving on active duty in the US Army, these Beta Nu Brothers performed exemplary at the highest levels in Command and Staff positions in their various branch specialties and in different types of units.
