MG Alvin Bryant (AB) Scholarship Overview

(For Military Science ll, [MSll] Cadets)

1. Application process and details: 
a. Applicant can receive up to $500.00 for the current academic year and the award is nonrenewable.

b. This scholarship award is only available to MSll Cadets.

c. The scholarship can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, travel and
selected cost of living. All scholarship recipients are required to “give back” by conducting community service.

d. Applicants must be in good financial standing with the University and display outstanding moral and character as a Rattler Battalion Cadet.

e. If selected as the scholarship recipient, you hereby grant permission to use your picture and name in the 1932 Projects Foundation literature and website.    

f. The application is available online only. Students will need the following
items to apply for the scholarship:

1. Current resume 

2. Unofficial transcript 

3. Full length photo in army greens.

4. Army Combat Fitness Score Card

5. Two letters of recommendation.

a. One from the Professor of Military Science.

b. One from a FAMU faculty or administrator. Must be from a Non ROTC staff member.

6. One page typed essay on the differences between leadership and
management. 
e. Uploading the documents

1. Complete the AB ROTC Scholarship Application. Then consolidate the items from f, 1-6 above into a single pdf and upload via the upload button on the form.

2. 2025 scholarship timeline:

a. The application process is open August 18th-October 3rd, 2025.

Applications must be completed by 11:59pm on October 3rd, 2025.

b. Reminder email will be sent to the PMS Rattler Battalion on August 1st, 2025.

c. Applications will be reviewed until October 10th, 2025.

d. Award winner only will be notified by the 1932 Projects Foundation Scholarship Committee by October 13th, 2025.
