Mission
The mission of the 1932 Projects Foundation is to positively impact lives by providing scholarships to deserving and qualified members of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. and students of Florida A&M University. Along with scholarship, the foundation focuses on three other pillars that impact our underserved communities in the areas of financial literacy, health and wellness and family relationships.
Scholarship
Our commitment to scholarship ensures that deserving and qualified members of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. and students of Florida A&M University receive the financial support they need to pursue higher education. We believe that education is the cornerstone of personal and community growth, unlocking potential and driving positive change.
Financial Literacy
We aim to empower our communities with essential financial knowledge and tools for lifelong financial security and independence. By promoting education on budgeting, savings, investments, and debt management, we strive to build a foundation for economic resilience and growth.
Health and Wellness
Promoting health and wellness is vital to the well-being of individuals and communities. Through educational programs and initiatives, we support mental, physical, and emotional health, ensuring that individuals are equipped to lead balanced and healthy lives.
Family Relationship
Strong family relationships are at the heart of resilient communities. We provide resources and initiatives that encourage communication, understanding, and support within families, fostering environments where all members can thrive together.
Vision
In the words of our founder, the 1932 Project Foundation was established to recognize Brian Keith Greene who was struck by a drunk driver and killed on February 21, 1985. We also aim to give back to the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. and Florida A&M University while promoting higher education. To fulfill this purpose, the Foundation endeavors to make a meaningful difference in the Beta Nu Chapter at Florida A&M University, and within society through our scholarship program. Since inception the Foundation has grown its scholarship program adding five more scholarships. The Te-Andre Brown, Jeffrey Alan Lamar, MG Eugene R. Crowmartie, MG Alvin Bryant and the Council of Colonels Scholarship awards.
